Description

Gents 1950s Cristal wristwatch.

The watch has a Swiss 17-jewel hand-winding movement which is working nicely.

The watch measures 32mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case is gold plated and it is in beautiful condition. The stainless steel screw-on case back states that the watch is waterproof but, as with any vintage watch, it should be kept away from water and moisture.

The lens is in lovely condition (some reflection showing in the photos).

The dial is signed Cristal Watches. This brand name was registered by brothers Paul and Robert Vermont of Le Locle and La Chaux-de-Fonds, founders of Mondia. The brothers also founded Mondia Watches, later taken over by Zenith.

The dial is in its original finish with original hands and a subsidiary seconds dial, and it is in beautiful condition.

A new leather strap has been fitted.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.
