Description

A large carved English oak sideboard. Circa 1860. Heavily carved throughout with hunting scenes. The top scroll cornice with carved fox head above carved panel with boar hunting scene and shelf. The shelf supported by scroll dog head supports either side of large panoramic deer hunting scene, featuring hunters on horseback with spears and dogs. The sideboard base with three drawers, central draw with carved eagle flanked by drawers with lion heads with brass ring handles. The drawers above side doors (to storage) door fronts with carved eagles with prey. With central 'dog kennel' open storage space.
