The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1920s.
J W Benson Ltd was the official watchmaker to the Admiralty and the War Department and also held a number of royal warrants, being watchmakers to Queen Victoria, the Prince of Wales, the Tsar of Russia and several other royal families.

This particular watch has a Revue stem-winding movement. This movement is working nicely, with a good strong tick, and the time keeping is good. The movement is signed J W Benson, 15 jewels, Swiss made and it is protected by an inner hinged dust cover.

The watch measures 50.8 mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is 14 ct gold filled made by the Dennison Watch Case Company. The case has light surface marks from use but overall it is in nice condition.

The acrylic lens is in nice condition.
The white enamel dial is signed J.W.Benson, London. The dial is in nice condition.
The watch has its original blued steel hands.
The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
