The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1910s.
The watch has a 15-jewel stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is fully signed and it has the serial number 2159858 which dates it back to 1917.

The watch measures 49mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is 800 silver and there are Continental hallmarks inside both of the case backs. The case is in nice condition. Originally there would have been engine turned detail to the back of the watch but there are only traces of it left now.

The glass lens is in good condition, just a small nibble to the bevelled edge.
The signed dial is in lovely condition with original blued steel hands.
The watch comes with a single chain, 35cm long including the T-bar and the clasp. Each of the links has a silver lion mark. There is also a little model of lion as a fob. The components have different maker’s marks.
The watch and chain come in a new presentation box.
