Here we have a fine quailty George III Mahogany chest of drawers c1780. As you can see the chest has great colour and patina. There is a beautiful figured top with Ebony string and an ogee moulded edge. Below there is a desirable configuration of two over three drawers. What sets this apart from many chest of this period is that the whole carcass, drawer sides and fronts are all solid Mahogany. There are carefully chosen timbers for the drawer fronts with lovely figure and grain. The drawers have cockbeaded edges and retain the original brass swan neck handles. The drawer bases are made from solid Cedar wood. The whole sits on orignal bracket feet. A super original George III chest of the highest quality in great retail condition ready for your home. The dimensions are approx 110 cm wide 102 cm high 55 cm deep.
