Harry Wanless was born in Scarborough. His Father had a decorating business.
Harry studied at Scarborough School of Art under Albert Strange. He was also a model ship builder. Noted for his delicate views of shipping in harbours, often small sail boats.
Also known for painting local scenes in Scarborough and it''s environs.
He exhibited locally.
