Artist: Harry Wanless. (1873-1934).

Title: "The Harbour and the Castle from South Bay, Scarborough".

Signed. Circa 1900. Watercolour.

In it's very good original gilt gold leaf frame.

Size: 20"x 30". Framed size: 28 1/4"x 38 1/4".

A beautiful large atmospheric example of his work.

Picture and frame now cleaned.

Harry studied at Scarborough School of Art under Albert Strange. He was also a model ship builder. Noted for his delicate views of shipping in harbours, often small sail boats.

Also known for painting local scenes in Scarborough and it's environs.

He exhibited locally.
