Designed with an elegant bow front shape, the top is decorated with cross banding and boxwood string inlay. Below is a bank of three graduated drawers. The drawers are oak lined and hand dovetailed. Featuring period old replacement oval brass handles and escutcheons, the drawers run smoothly and close flush to the frame. The chest stands on the original well shaped mahogany splayed bracket feet in between a pretty shaped apron. The back of the chest features the original pine back boards. The Regency chest of drawers has been cleaned and traditionally French polished by hand to a professional standard in our workshop, therefore the patination and colour of an excellent standard. The Georgian chest of drawers stands firm on the ground, is solid in joint and ready to use.
Condition Report:
This is a fine quality antique English Georgian Regency chest of drawers, constructed of flame mahogany, with a bow front shape, featuring small proportions, circa 1820, in excellent condition. The chest has been cleaned and traditionally French polished by hand to a professional standard in our workshop, therefore the patination and colour of an excellent standard. Featuring period replacement oval brass handles and escutcheons, are smooth running and close flush to the frame. The Georgian chest of drawers stands on its original splayed bracket feet and retains its original pine backboards. This mahogany chest of drawers is solid in joint and ready to use.
