How do I care for a waxed pine cabinet?

Caring for a waxed pine cabinet involves applying a quality beeswax periodically to nourish the timber and maintain its surface sheen. Avoid placing the cabinet near direct heat sources or strong sunlight to prevent the wood from drying out. Dusting regularly with a soft cloth keeps the finish clean without stripping the accumulated character of the surface.

Scots pine and other softwood varieties formed the primary structure for both the carcass and internal shelving. Back panels and drawer linings often consist of matching pine boards shaped by hand or early machinery.
