It was listed by School House Antiques. Sold pieces stay on Sellingantiques as a record of what has passed through, and the next one is rarely far away.
School House Antiques has dated this piece to the 1920s.
The sculpture was created by the esteemed French sculptor, Jean-Baptiste Hugues, who was active in Paris during the 1920s.

Two sleek black panthers, caught mid-prowl, the angular , geometrically designed Porto marble base & sharp lines used in the design of panthers facial features , strongly reflect the cubist design movement of the Art Deco period.
This sculpture is in superb, vintage condition, with only minimal signs of age-related wear.
