Art Deco bronze figures gained prominence during the early 20th century, heavily influenced by modernist movements, classical mythology, and the celebration of movement and the human form.

These sculptures are traditionally crafted using the lost-wax casting method, resulting in detailed bronze figures often mounted on marble bases.

Authenticity is determined by examining the patination, foundry marks, cast quality, weight, and consistency of the bronze alloy relative to the period of production.

Placing a bronze figure on a mantelpiece, bookshelf, or pedestal allows it to serve as a sophisticated focal point that complements both traditional and contemporary design schemes.

Preservation involves dusting with a soft, dry cloth and occasionally applying microcrystalline wax to protect the patination from moisture and handling oils.
