A gorgeous and captivating 19th Century nude. While the young woman's face is absolutely inscrutable, she has a very strong presence.

The artwork's lines have that slight haziness and graininess which give them the same electric feel that makes Henri Fantin Latour's drawings so striking and intimate.

Our master drawing, dating from circa 1860, is French in origin and unsigned. While I do not have a firm attribution, I believe that Henri Fantin Latour (1836-1904) may not be excluded as a creator.

Drawn in charcoal on handmade paper, the artwork measures 60 x 45 cm without its frame. The overall framed size is 74 x 56 cm.
