A splendid original 19th Century portrait pencil drawing by Albin Roberts Burt (1 December 1783 – 16 March 1842). Burt was a well esteemed English engraver and portrait-painter.
 
Depicting a wonderful scene of an English gentlemen with his dog and shotgun, signed ‘drawn by A Burt, Southampton, 1839’
 
In gilt frame, with charming original label on the reverse stating ‘The most accurate likenesses can be taken’ via Burt’s portraits.
 
Interestingly a pencil portrait by Burt of Lord Admiral Nelson, circa 1802, sold for £17,360 in 2016.
