About the artist: Frederick Richard LEE, RA was a prolific Landscape, Seascape and Still-Life painter. He lived mostly in Barnstaple, Devon. Exhibited at the Royal Academy between 1824-70. He often collaborated with Thomas Sydney Cooper and Landseer. Died in S. Africa 1879.
