A fabulous watercolour by world renowned designer and artist, Archibald Knox (1864 -1933), signed, titled Onchan and dated 1890.

A very interesting early example of his work, one can see buildings behind the large tree and foliage dominating the foreground.

In the late 1880s Archibald had studied under John Miller Nicholson at the Douglas School of Art and in 1889, he was awarded his Art Master's Certificate.

A fine and rare early example of his work in watercolour having been professionally cleaned and tastefully reframed.
