Description

A mid 17th century portrait miniature on copper, of a young man with fine moustache and long curly dark hair and wearing a black coat and a broad white collar, under a bevelled glass and in its original gilt metal frame with a scrolling crest and loop, Dutch, around 1640. Image size: 2.25” x 1.75”

Condition: Overall very good, the painting is in good condition with two or three very small areas of paint loss, the colours are good, and the frame is in excellent condition with no apparent loss of gilding. The glass is intact.
