Giuseppe Mazzolini
was born in Camerino in the Italian province of Macerata on November 10, 1806. A professional artist, Mazzolini was renowned for his outstanding copies of Old Master paintings and for his sensitive portraiture. Giuseppe Mazzolini died in Rome on February 2, 1876.

Very little is known about the life of the artist. There is an early reference to the work of Giuseppe Mazzolini in the Diario di Roma of 1828 (vol. 53). Mazzolini is also referenced in A. M. Comanducci, Illustrated Dictionary of Artists, Designers and Engravers - Italian Modern and Contemporary.
