Dresser 17th/18th Century Oak Welsh Dresser

Description

Here we have a lovely Low Oak Welsh dresser. As you can see this piece has wonderful colour and patina. The plate rack is 17th century and the base is a little later. The plate rack has beautiful pegged mortice and tenon joints and wonderful carving to the top. The base is also of pegged construction and houses two drawers which run smoothly. The legs have chamfered insides and the back ones have additional supports added. As you can see the drawer handles are original with split pins to the inside. This lovely country piece has the advantage of being small so would fit in any country cottage with low ceilings. A lovely piece of vernacular furniture with great character ready for your home. Dimensions are approx 62 inches wide 64 high 20 deep.
