A charming small cottage interior scene oil on canvas. The painting shows a wonderfully detailed interior full of antiques including a fine slender long case clock and Welsh dresser full of ceramics, with a Georgian knife box and large pot of lilac blossoms on it. The work is competently done with a good eye for perspective and light. The painting is in excellent untouched condition with a signature by monogram to the lower right of MR. The dark green frame is the original and in good condition. The whole has a great period look and is a wonderful record of antiques in an interior at the beginning of the twentieth century.
