A fine Georgian period pastel portrait of a Gentleman. The work is highly accomplished and beautifully observed with the figure wonderful posed in a bright blue jacket with powdered hair. The work is in excellent condition but not signed or titled sadly. The gilt frame is the original as is the glass with blacked edge. The frame is in great untouched condition with all original slightly worn gilding. The whole has a great period look and is ready to hang. C.1790.
