This Oil on Canvas of the Racehorse ''Shaughraun'' the winner of the Dublin jumping prize and Champion StoneWall prize in 1880 shows his knowledge of Horses and why he is so collectible.
He was well known for his Horse paintings and other animals . He exhibited at the Royal Academy in 1861 and was said by many Art critics of the period to be a better artist than Landseer.
His paintings hang on the walls of many West Country Estates.
