A charming and interesting naļve school watercolour of a Dragoon Guard. The work is typically naļve school probably made by a child or amateur copying a print of the time. The detail of the horse and rider is actually very good. The figure is a member of the Seventh Dragoon Guards as can be seen by the initials on his pack. The work is in good condition a little faded and discoloured with two tiny holes. The frame is the original bird’s eye maple and is in beautiful condition with a great untouched patina. The whole has a wonderful period look and is ready to hang.
