As part of our Japanese works of art collection we are delighted to offer this captivating Meiji Period 1868-1912, bronze sculptural okimono group depicting a pair of ducks portrayed within a lake, the finely cast group is artist signed to the underside and rests upon a handcrafted hardwood base perfect for safe display. The skilled artist has captured these charming birds in fine detail from the well defined feather work to the mixed metal eyes, the ducks appear at rest beside the reeds rising from the flowing water, signed in a chiseled signature to the underside by an artist known as Kiyoaki, this can also translate to read Seimei , a most charming addition to your Japanese metalwork collection or as a sculptural okimono group to brighten up any space in the home.
