A mid Victorian walnut Canterbury by James Shoolbred & Co, the rectangular frame with reeded edges and dividers and with turned finials to the corners, with turned spindles around the sides and supporting the dividers, fitted with a drawer below with turned wooden handles, on tapering supports with ceramic casters, and with inside the drawer an enamelled plate bearing the maker’s name. English, circa 1860.
Condition: Excellent, the piece is in very good condition with no breaks or repairs to any of the spindles or dividers, and the drawer runs smoothly. Overall the piece has a very attractive colour and a nice patina.
