Born in Liverpool, he studied at Bradford School of Art, The Slade School of Fine Art under the animal painter and sculptor John M Swan. Exhibited at RA, ROI, NEAC, RSA, Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool, Paris Salon and elsewhere abroad. Yorkshire was a favourite subject of Brundrit's and the Tate Gallery holds several examples. Other English provincial and Australian galleries hold his work. Elected RA 1938, Lived at Masham, Yorkshire.
