A fine pair of late Regency silhouettes probably husband and wife. The silhouettes are painted in black and highlighted with gold paint. The sitters typically in profile face each other as would be expected of a couple. The pair are finely observed and in superb detail. The works are in excellent condition and retain the original ebonised frames with gilt mounts. The silhouettes sit under convex glass causing some reflection in the photos.
