A charming oil on canvas depicting a lady gazing into a miniature portrait. A lovely composition of the lady in profile dressed in embroidered lace, gazing into a miniature worn around her neck and almost certainly depicting a past love. The work is not signed and was probably created for an advertising image. The piece is in excellent condition having only been sympathetically and professionally cleaned. The painting retains the original fine quality frame with all the original gilding. The whole is a beautiful artwork with a wonderful romantic appeal. C.1930.
