The artist has portrayed this majestic bird of prey in captivating detail, the finely cast silvered bronze feather work has aged and toned to a darker grey colour that is contrasted with gilt highlights to the legs and beak, the mixed metal eyes are quite captivating and give you the impression that this particular owl is resting, although his ears are firmly pricked up suggesting he is very much alert.
