An interesting and decorative shipping oil on canvas laid to board. The painting is brilliantly worked in an impressionist manner with a thick bold use of oil applied quickly and confidently by a talented artist. The work is signed to the lower right but only with a monogram and thus the artist has proved impossible to identify. The painting is in excellent condition having been professionally cleaned. The frame is a simple but sold wood frame that has been slightly silvered, it dates to the 1960’s when the canvas was most likely laid to board.
