Provenance bought out of Germany in 1938 by the vendors late parents thence by family descent. Carl Kenzler was a German painter who was born in 1872. Carl Kenzler's work has been offered at auction multiple times, with realized prices ranging up to 10,200 USD, depending on the size and medium of the artwork. Since 2000 the record price for this artist at auction is 10,200 USD for Crashing Waves sold at Sotherby's New York in 2005. The artist died in 1947. He was a German landscape painter, active around 1930, in Postsdam. The artist preferred sea and winter landscapes whose naturalism is enhanced by a subtle lighting effect. Customs Payment & Brexit

Cheshire Antiques Consultant LTD operates on a Delivery Duty Unpaid (DDU) basis which means that the International buyer is responsible for any import duties, taxes & customs clearance charges and any other customs charges which may be necessary to release an order from international customs.

Following the UK leaving the EU on 1st January 2021 (BREXIT) there have been some changes to customs & duty charges for EU customers. Tax and import duty varies from country to country so we recommend you check with your local tax office to see if any fees will be payable.
