Description

A lovely and exuberant still life depicting poppies and other humble field flowers in a ceramic jug. Dating from the 1930s, it is a fresh and poignant as if it had been painted yesterday. French in origin, the oil on canvas is unsigned, and while I am hoping to do some research, I do not have an attribution for the moment.

Mysteriously, the canvas bear a red seal with a finger imprint on the verso.

Measuring 33 x 27 cm, the overall framed size is 52 x 44 cm.
