French Impressionist Still Life Oil Painting

A very decorative oil on canvas French still life. The painting shows a typical still life study group of objects with contrasting colours and textures, there is a vase of flowers, inkwell, quill on a pen tray etc. The use of dark objects against the light wallpaper produces a particularly pleasing contrast. The technique is very much impressionist with a use of impasto oil in an almost pointillist style. The painting is signed to the lower right and dated 1927, however I have been unable to identify the artist. The work has been professionally cleaned and small very minor repairs made. The original frame is of a wonderful quality and in excellent untouched condition. The whole has a great look and is ready to hang.
