Quiet Street Antiques of Bath has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
Apparently unsigned…these have not been removed from their original moulded and gilded frames. 13 x 11ins including the frames which are in excellent condition. circa 1900 (?) but perhaps earlier.
Both have Art Gallery labels to the reverse for “Leggatt Brothers of Cheapside, London EC”. Leggatt Brothers were Fine Art Dealers established in 1820 by the sons of Henry Leggatt (1817-1864). They finally (and sadly) closed in 1992 after 172 years of trading.
