He exhibited from 1879 until1919 both locally but also in some principle London and provincial Galleries,including the Royal Academy,the Royal Society of British Artists at Suffolk Street,London,the Walker Gallery,Liverpool and with the Royal Society of Artists Birmingham.Throughout this period he lived at 4 Elgin Street,Whitby.His landscape work shows a clear interest of the impressionists. ‘ Fishing Boats at Whitby’ signed watercolour image size 43x66 cms,framed size61x85 cms.Housed in it original gilded Watts frame.A fine example of the artists work
