Yolanda Gray Antiques has dated this piece to the 1850s.
Featuring a lovely landscape backdrop with distant mountains, with birds in background. A well-balanced picture with plenty of detail. The painting is signed in the lower left-hand corner, we believe it to be “Tuck”, however, the first initial is unclear. Lovely pastel colours in the background. The painting accurately reproduces the natural colours of the subject, with an attractive range of greens, browns and blue, with subtle terracotta detailing on the house roof. The item also boasts wonderful texturing, evident in the leaves on the trees and the vegetation on the ground. The painting is set into its original fine quality ornate gilt frame, decorated with gold leaf.

This Victorian coastal oil painting would look superb in a variety of rooms, including the hallway, living room or bedroom. This item would certainly grace any home and is a great investment as it is an attractive and colourful piece. So don’t miss out on your chance to own a lovely piece of art.
