A seascape watercolour by John McDougal (1851-1945); signed lower right and dated 1892. Although not titled, this is likely a scene in Wales, Ireland or the Isle of Man, where the artist was known to have painted.

A very contemporary look to this painting and as such would look fabulous in the traditional or modern interior.

Overall dimensions: 68 x 51.5 cm

John McDougal was a Liverpool born artist (born circa 1850) and specialised in painting landscape and coastal scenes in Cornwall, Sussex, Devon, Wales, Anglesey and the Isle of Man. He exhibited his works at the Royal Academy, The Royal Society of British Artists and the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolour between 1877 - 1903. His works can be found at the Blackburn Museum and Art Gallery and Walker Art Gallery in Liverpool.

In superb condition, the painting having been professionally cleaned. Presented in a high quality frame with mount.
