A breathtaking view, and an exciting, fresh composition are the hallmarks of this near abstracted oil on canvas which dates from circa 1960. Painted confidently in an easily recognisable, distinctive style which I have not encountered before (I would remember!), our mysterious painting is unsigned. French in origin, there is no indication as to its author.

Measuring 46 x 55 cm, the overall size in a quality frame by Paris master frame makers "Delf" (with light wear) the overall size is 61 x 70 cm.
