A very moving and intimate depiction of a rural scene, depicting a white cart horse in.a meadow near an orchard. The season, most definitely, is spring: the greens of grass and leaves are soft, bright and fragrant. Beautifully painted, our mysterious impressionist oil on panel is unsigned. The painting is French in origin, and dating from circa 1880-90.

Measuring 16 x 22 cm; the overall framed size is 25 x 30 cm. I personally love the antique pine frame, but for those who prefer it, a period gold coloured frame is available as an alternative. Both frames have minor losses and wear and tear but look handsome.
