A large and fine oil on canvas Victorian hunting scene. The work shows a detailed view of riders following hounds across a typical English countryside. The painting does not appear to be signed though this is not unusual for this type of decorative provincial work. The gilt frame is the original and is in good untouched country house condition. The painting in the past has been lined and had some good quality restoration to minor areas. The whole has a great period look and is ready to hang.
