An elegant and joyous composition of a vase with flowers in a sun-dappled room, dating from the ca 1890/1900: the art nouveau period.

Measuring 65 x 54 cm, our oil on canvas has been restored, relined and put onto a new quality stretcher. French in origin, the painting is unsigned, and I have so far not been able to identify the artist. The overall size including a more recent frame is 84 x 73 cm.
