A 17th century anatomical engraving. Plate indentation just outside the inked perimeter or neat line. Quite possibly housed in it’s original ebonised pine frame.The etching was discovered folded and hidden behind a Victorian watercolour.Victorian sensibilities found images of male nudity unseemly and often chose to hide the image from display, whilst still preserving it. Dimensions including frame 42 x 29 x 1
