Edward Hartley-Mooney (1877-1938): A good early 20th century framed oil painting on canvas, depicting a rural track with a three arched stone bridge crossing a river. In the background is a charming scene of a village with children playing, a church, hills in the distance and cows in a nearby field.

Edward Hartley-Mooney (1877-1938) was a prolific impressionist artist, specialising in portraits, still life, country and occasionally coastal scenes. He exhibited at amongst others the Manchester City Art Gallery. He travelled from Manchester to Dublin, to London to County Wicklow in Ireland. He is noted mainly for his landscapes and floral still lifes. ??His ability to paint those well received landscapes and then to paint his colorful still lifes, and all those portraits of prominent families, shows why he was in such high demand in both England and Ireland.
