An superb marine watercolour by James Aitken (1853 - 1935)

This beautiful painting perfectly captures the light and sea with a fishing vessel being chased by a colony of seagulls.

A very good example, good colour; well executed.

This painting has been professionally and sensitively cleaned, retaining the unusual tones and colours used by James in this composition. It has also been re-framed and mounted to the highest of standards.
