Large Chinese Reverse Painting on Glass

Description

A beautiful early 20th century Chinese reverse painting on glass in its original frame dating from around 1900. The painting is finely executed in delightful gouache colours and is a lovely subject with a classic beauty gazing from her window on a pretty bird in a Magnolia tree. The piece is larger than the average for these with this being 52 cms by 37 cms.

It is in excellent original condition.

Rams Head Antiques is a family business based in Wolsingham in Weardale where we have had shop premises for 28 years. The shop is generally open every Saturday from 11 am till 3 pm.
