Description

A beautiful late 17th century English School portrait with great charm superbly painted around 1680. The portrait is painted on a thin slice of tortoise shell which creates a lovely luminescence to the piece. The painting of a Lady with a feathered headdress is beautifully framed in this most unusual chased and beaded brass frame which has a hinged hook clasp and is embossed to the back IHS.

The piece is a good size measuring 3 1/2" x 3 1/4"UK insured delivery is £12
