Fine Victorian Cased Miniature Oil Portrait of a Lady

A beautiful painted in oils miniature portrait of a lady in original case. The miniature is a superb example with wonderful detail and delicate work to the clothing, jewellery, face and hair. The work is not signed which isn’t unusual for these miniatures. The portrait is in excellent untouched condition, protected by being under glass and in the case. The case is leather covered and quite worn but perfectly sound. The whole is a lovely example of the type and a beautiful portrait. C.1870.
