Description

This is a good antique oil painting, of a rich medieval nobleman in fine garb, dating from the early 19th century circa 1800. The detail is exquisite to the work which is very finely painted showing exotic fur cape and a fine velvet cap.

The gentleman is posed looking determined and pensive and the artist has really captured the character of the man.

The portrait is framed in a deep fine gilt and gesso frame with oval mount. This is in nice original condition and measures 19 cms by 18 cms overall including the frame. The image is 7 cms by 5 cms.
