Landscape Oil Painting by H.l.robinson

An impressionist style oil on canvas landscape by H.L.Robinson. The painting shows a figure walking by a stream on a bright sunny day. The work is very competently handled and the use of light and shade is exceptionally good. The painting is signed to the lower right H.L.Robinson. Robinson is a recorded artist from Berwickshire who exhibited between 1905 and 1930 in Liverpool and at the Royal Scottish Academy. I do feel the quality of this piece would indicate it to be one of his exhibited works. The painting has been professionally cleaned and is in excellent condition. The simple oak frame with gilt slip is the original and in excellent untouched condition. The whole is ready to hang. C.1910.
