McTague of Harrogate has dated this piece to the 1910s.
K.. George Graham settled at Winchelsea Beach in the early 1920s designing and building a house in 1922 that he called Salt Dykes and where he died in 1949.

This oil painting on canvas of Castle Bolton in Wensleydale measures 28"x 36" and is signed lower right. It is inscribed on the reverse by the artist with the title and date and is framed in a good period gilt frame giving an overall size of 39"x 46".
