A majestic miniature: measuring only 14 x 8 cm, this delicate winter landscape has wonderful depth and complexity. Painted circe 1900 with loose brush stokes, it bears stylistic similarities with the work of Eugène Galien-Laloue (1854-1941).

French in origin, it is signed indistinctly at the lower right.

The overall framed size in a more recent frame is 16.5 x 11 cm.
