An atmospheric painting by Hubert Coop, 1872-1953, landscape and coastal painter who exhibited works at the Royal Academy, signed and dated. Mounted in a gilt slip and plaster frame, all in lovely condition. The original painting looks to have been reframed around 50 years ago, see label on reverse. There is a printed biography about Hubert Coop also on the reverse, please see image of this. He was christened William Hubert. This painting is probably North Wales (where he lived for a number of years ) castle at dusk or dawn depicting lovely mauve to grey hues. . Overall measurements are 52cm x 72cm.
